Ambient Activity Systems

Ambient activity systems are citizen-centric, flexible, and lightweight Closed-Loop Lifecycle Management software systems. They address a demanding set of user requirements, expose a unique set of features, and address critical application domains.

Specifically, ambient activity systems are tightly related to users' daily activities in the sense that those activities determine the application's flow models. Since human activities are by nature unpredictable and changing, ambient activity systems shall be endowed with the capability to dynamically adapt their flow models. Consequently, in ambient activity systems flow models are themselves considered a dynamic resource, i.e., their definition is sensitive to the context in which the application is used, and may change accordingly.
